Software Functionality
By pressing the pairing button and watching the changes of LED indicator, you could know the pairing status of wireless Zigbee door and window sensor with the Zigbee gateway.
When the wireless door and window sensor is successfully paired with a Zigbee router or coordinator, it will automatically reports data regarding its status (door opening or closing) and battery level at regular intervals of every 60 minutes.
When a disconnection occurs between a smart door and window sensor and the Zigbee gateway, the sensor will attempt to reconnect to the gateway a total of five times within the initial 15-minute interval. If still failed, the the sensor will adjust the reconnection interval to every 60 minutes.
When the distance between the sensor and the magnet exceeds 3cm, the sensor will trigger a report indicating the the door opening status. Conversely, when the distance is less than 3cm, it will trigger a report of door closed status to the monitoring system via a Zigbee MQTT gateway.
The smart door and window sensor adopts Zigbee 3.0 protocol and supports battery power detection and the reporting of battery power (voltage and power percentage).
Parameters like door and window connection interval can be configured by issuing commands through the Zigbee gateway. Our Zigbee gateways provide a user interface and an API that allows user to adjust the settings.
